Navigation Options in the AMIGO Suite Expanded to Include the Megrez System by Symbow Medical

The Megrez navigation system (Symbow Medical, Beijing, China) was installed in the Advanced Multimodality Image Guided Operating (AMIGO) suite of the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Symbowmed joins the family of navigation systems present in AMIGO which include products from BrainLab, Hologic, Robin Medical, and St. Jude. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has renewed funding for the National Center for Image Guided Therapy (NCIGT) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). The five-year, $15 million P41 grant will allow the center to continue its work focused on the multidisciplinary development of innovative image-guided intervention technologies to enable effective, less invasive clinical treatments that are not only more economical, but also produce better results for patients. ...

Harvard Catalyst Imaging Courses.

Imaging courses offered March-May 2010 by Harvard Catalyst (funded by NCRR), a strong collaborator of NCIGT. These are open to all members of the greater Harvard community. These courses cover both general and current state of the art medical imaging and image processing capabilities and are designed to better acquaint clinicians and scientists with the tools and technologies available in this important field.
